Play Music on the Porch Day is an international event held on the last Saturday of August every year. In 2024, The Kindred Folk Society organized and programmed 10 porches in historic downtown Madison Indiana for an afternoon of music, celebrating song and camaraderie, joining communities worldwide. This new annual event has grown to 16 porches in 2025. The Folk Society encourages all to take part whether your porch is downtown, in the suburbs or in the hollers!
