Play Music on the Porch Day
On August 31st 2024 the Kindred Folk Society is bringing to Madison a new festival: Play Music on the Porch Day: where talented musicians,both local and out-of-town, professional and amateur, play staggered sets across downtown, hosted on the porches of generous Madison residents.

About the Event
This community event is a fundraiser for the Kindred Folk Society’s upcoming Front
Porch Legacy singer songwriter and music education series. As part of the fundraiser,
Porch-to-Porch Cart Taxis will be available to chauffeur festival goers in comfort.
Both Play Music on the Porch Day and the upcoming Front Porch Legacy series
represent the Kindred Folk Society’s work to bring music back to the porch, both
literally an figuratively, where people used to gather and play together, the old timers
taught the younger folks and music was community.
